Music shows us that everything is connected.
It has the power to soothe your soul, revive your troubled spirit, and unite people as one.
Rock legends and Hall of Fame inductees Rick Allen (Def Leppard) and Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses, The Cult, Velvet Revolver, Kings of Chaos) brought together a community of their drumming peers, supporters, donors and music lovers for a special event to honor and support Veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors at Sorum’s GoodNoise studio in Palm Springs.
With a strong belief in the power of community and experiencing music together, the Raven Drum Foundation event kicked off with a healing drum circle and concluded with a live performance by Lauren Monroe.
GoodNoise is devoted to backing mission-driven endeavors from scientific research to social and environmental impact.

Raven Drum invited a stellar group of world class drummers, Veterans, first responders and supporters to the beautiful Amazing Grace estate to experience the magic of a drum circle, led by founders Rick Allen and Lauren Monroe. The event was a celebration of the healing benefits of music and community.
The program was filmed and highlights were included in Musicians On Call’s Veterans Day virtual concert provided to VA hospitals across the country.

“I am very happy to thank Lauren Monroe and Rick Allen for their support of veterans and providing such a wonderful and meaningful evening. Of all my VETTIX events I have never felt so directly appreciated by the performers before. The aim of VETTIX is to bring veterans out into the community and help them connect with each other. Lauren and Rick made that happen. I am also very fortunate to learn about their 20+ years of veteran focused work with Raven Drum, that was new to me and I enjoyed your introductory film at the start. Thank you both and to everyone that made this evening possible.
I am always looking for the opportunity to give back. Should you or the organization need a point of contact or volunteer in the Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine region, please reach out to me.”

“Thank you for the tickets to attend the concert with the Lauren Monroe Band and Alex Jordan. Lauren’s music and message was not only beautiful, but also inspirational. In a small and positive way the concert left me a better person.
Getting to listen to Alex and the individual accompanying him was a real bonus. The venue was great and I would attend events there again.
Thanks again!”

“Thank you Raven Drum Foundation!! I was lucky enough to talk with Lauren after the show. I shared my story as a veteran and losing fellow brothers & sisters to suicide when they returned home from the Middle East. She recommended I contact RDF and share my heartache and she explained that they could help my mental emotions. Her band definitely gained a new fan! Thanks RDF and Lauren for a grand night out!!!”
