7. Focus on Gratitude & Forgiveness PDF Print Email

Gratitude and forgiveness are essential acts of being a resilient person. When we focus on gratitude and bring our attention to the positive things we have, we are able to shift our perception of being the victim and move into the world of the victor. When you are sick, you focus on the parts of you that are well. It is this reinforcement and acknowledgement of the “Well Cells” that increase the healing energy of your body. Focusing on what is sick or unhealthy will not radiate healing. Being grateful is a practice and a choice of where to put your attention, just like forgiveness. Forgiveness can be extremely hard, especially if you have perpetrators who inflicted harm upon you or when you carry blame within yourself. Forgiveness is a practice of compassion where we are able to give up the toxic anger, disappointments and wounds that we’re holding. The act of forgiveness can be experienced as a sacred act of giving when we offer up our pain to a higher power, a love that is greater than we are.
